“I’ ll definitely come back!” For many of the journalists visiting Changzhou during the 2026 Belt and Road Journalists Forum, this was not just a goodbye, but also a promise to return.
Changzhou gave the journalists plenty to appreciate, from its impressive urban landscape to its advanced manufacturing. For Spanish collaborator Ana Rosa Semprún with the El Confidencial, the visit also gave her a new motivation to keep learning Chinese, with the hope of returning to China one day speaking the language fluently.
They came here in China as journalists, sharing stories and perspectives, and leave with fresh inspiration and friendships that make the world feel a little closer.
