Oct 13, international journalists attending the 2026 Belt and Road Journalists Forum visited the Suzhou Industrial Park Exhibition Center to learn about the city’s industrial development and innovation. From electronic information and biomedicine to artificial intelligence, the journalists got a closer look at explored the industries and technologies shaping Suzhou’s growth.
The field trip also included a face-to-face dialogue with Suzhou Mayor Wang Wei, exchanging views on topics ranging from AI and urban development to international investment and cooperation. Their questions reflected a broad interest in how Suzhou balances technological progress, people’s everyday needs and global engagement.
Together, the visit and dialogue offered international journalists a closer look at Suzhou’s development and its role in connecting China with the wider world.
