Nearly 100 journalists from over 50 countries and regions have traveled across mountains and seas to Jiangsu, China. What brings them here? What do they want to share?
Some are visiting China for the first time and call this journey a “dream come true.” Some want to hear the story of John Rabe from the Chinese side. Some describe the gathering as “a big family” of journalists worldwide. Some care about keeping the human touch in AI-era journalism.
The 2026 Belt and Road Journalists’ Forum is underway in Jiangsu, under the theme “Convergence and Connectivity · Innovation and Progress · Media Transformation Amid Global Changes.” International guests will visit five cities — Nanjing, Suzhou, Changzhou, Nantong and Lianyungang — to discover China firsthand.
