We would to appreciate the experience accorded to us to come and see Jiangxi province in China.
As Zambian media team, the experience is a clear demonstration of China commitment and focus to development and civilization in China.
We were greatly amazed by the Chengdu Airport infrastructure after we arrived on the 14 of July. The Infrastructure at the airport is advanced and the new technology system was breath taking.
Since it was our first time in china we thought Chengdu was the main international Airport only to be told the there are other Airports in different provinces including the main one in Beijing.
We later took a domestic flight to Nachang city were we were welcomed warmly by the Chinese people .
Our first assignment the following day was the Jiangxi Museum where we were treated to a number of historical sites and heritage. The Museum is a three story building that accommodated a number of domestic tourists in the province and outside according to the museum guide a demonstration of the commitment and focus on the need to preserve the culture.
The Heritage site had a number of amazing history such as clay pots that were used during the ancient times , the process of making the clay pots using soil and fire to make them strong.
Another Historical site was the visit to Yang Ming Mind Valley Scenic area, a Philosopher and schoolar who believed in the study of the mind. It was heard that he had some disciples that followed his teachings and passed them on to the next generation.
The teachings of the Philosopher are still rooted in the system of the Chinese culture through their education system.
The Preservation of the culture is important in the chinese country as it has moved with them through civilization phase .
INDUSTRIALIZATION
The Chinese Republic is one of the countries that has advanced in technology and Industries.
This is against a background of underdevelopment and high poverty levels that was experienced 40 years ago but through it’s collaboration with other countries, they transformed into becoming a second global economy in the world.
Professor ZHENG CHANG ZHONG from Fudan University who is also a Researcher provided insight to the international Journalist about the technology advancement that the Chinese Republic had undertaken in the past decades .
According to professor ZHONG the focus and commitment of the Chinese Republic helped them build the country to what it is today .
He cited some Industries such as the Ganzhou industrial park which Journalist visited as one of the key investment that has helped grow the economy of the chinese Republic.
A visit to the industrial park exposed journalists to high level technology such as the drones which are used in the agricultural and health sector.
This was an eye opener for African countries like Zambia whose mainstay is agricultural to enable the company consider investing such technology in the country to provide food security.
This was also important for knowledge transfer and skills to the Zambian people as it will reduce unemployment in the country and poverty levels .
It was recognized that dialogue is key in building relationship with other countries that are still growing and developing .
A visit to Ganzhou International Landport in Nankang city revealed that the port trades in timber , complete vehicle ,and meat and is the national demonstration project for multimodal transport under the belt and road initiative .
The project benefits a lot from the African countries through the importation of various raw materials and services therefore it was suggested that they establish a plant in some respected countries where they export finished products that benefits the local people.
The Relationship between the Chinese government and other developing countries are key in helping transform the lives of the people and become part of the civilization.
Civilization is the key to a peaceful world because the more we have countries that are striving for development, means a better world that will raise the standards of living of everyone . Collaboration and unity is key in driving the economy .
The 2025 Belt and Road Journalists Forum was held in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province on July 19,2025 under the theme Promoting Civilization Dialogue and Global Modernization with the power of Journalists.
