“Such a diversity of products. Everything has top quality,” said Florian Schiller on May 22 during his visit to the China World Trade Center in Beijing. At China World Mall and China World Hotel, Home of Journalists invited a delegation of German journalists to explore China’s dynamic consumer market and international atmosphere. They tried smart glasses, pocket cameras and other tech products, learned about convenient tax refund services for international travelers, experienced trendy pop culture and digital consumption scenes, sampled Chinese cuisine, and enjoyed international-standard services.
From technological innovation to urban life, and from commercial spaces to cultural experiences, German journalists captured through their lenses the openness and vitality of Beijing as an international consumption center city. Their visit also offered a closer look at the momentum of China’s economic development and the country’s continued commitment to high-level opening-up.
