Sometimes, the best reporting happens when you don’t just see a culture, but truly feel it. Recently, ten senior journalists from India’s mainstream media, including ANI, NDTV and Hindustan Times, explored Guangzhou. They came to cover stories, but ended up falling in love with the lifestyle — filling their wishlists with everything from pocket cameras and EV tech to traditional culture.
As Snehal Satghare from ANI shared with The South while holding a museum souvenir: “I just love to be here… this memory will be with me.” When a journalist loves the experience, the story tells itself.
