The Media Cooperation Forum on Belt and Road, hosted by People’s Daily, has been held 9 times since its inception in 2014. To date, the forum has invited over 1,000 representatives from global media outlets, international organizations, and regional institutions across more than 100 countries and regions. Aiming to build communication bridges and consolidate cooperation consensus, the forum seeks to pool extensive efforts to promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The forum gathers high-level representatives from the Chinese government departments, heads of worldwide mainstream media outlets, business leaders, and renowned scholars. It focuses on media cooperation amid global transformation, facilitating discussions on topics such as new technologies and media integration, regional cooperation under the BRI, and international communication.
The Media Cooperation Forum on Belt and Road continues to expand and has increasingly become a flagship platform for dialogue, exchange, and pragmatic collaboration among media organizations from various countries. Through this platform, mainstream media from BRI partner countries engage in in-depth joint reporting, personnel exchanges, information sharing, co-production of programs, technical collaboration, and collaborative publications. These efforts have further embedded the vision of the BRI in global public opinion and contributed greater media momentum to the high-quality development of the initiative.
