Flowing movements, a philosophy of balance, and a practice older than many traditions — this is the spirit of International Taijiquan Day, captured by reporters from Minsk News Agency during a celebration of this ancient Chinese martial art in Minsk, Belarus.
In November 2025, UNESCO designated March 21, the Spring Equinox symbolizing balance between yin and yang, as International Taijiquan Day — reflecting a philosophy that resonates across cultures. Today, Taiji (Tai Chi) is practiced by hundreds of millions of people in more than 180 countries.
Moments like these show how cultural traditions continue to travel, connect, and find new life in communities around the world.
