4. Message from Vladimir Solovyov

President of the Russian Union of Journalists

On behalf of the Russian Union of Journalists, we extend our warm New Year 2026 greetings to our colleagues from the All-China Journalists Association, as well as to the entire global media community.

The outgoing year has once again confirmed that cooperation between the Russian Union of Journalists and the All-China Journalists Association continues to develop along an upward path, gaining new substance and practical results. Our relations, based on mutual respect, trust, and commitment to the professional values of journalism, are becoming stronger and more stable with each passing year.

In the context of the transformation of the global information space, growing international turbulence, and attempts to politicize the media sphere, dialogue between the professional journalistic communities of Russia and China acquires special importance. Shared initiatives, events, exchanges of experience, and support for the principles of objectivity, responsibility, and cultural diversity contribute to strengthening mutual understanding between our peoples. We sincerely hope that in the new year cooperation between journalists of our countries will continue to grow, developing in the spirit of friendship, mutual trust, and respect.

We would also like to address the entire global journalistic community. May the New Year become a time of professional solidarity, respect for the diversity of viewpoints, and a responsible attitude to the spoken and written word. In an era of global change, journalism is called upon to preserve its role as a space for dialogue, mutual understanding, and the search for solutions based on facts, humanism, and respect for national sovereignty and cultural identity.

We wish the All-China Journalists Association, its leadership, and all Chinese journalists, as well as the global media community, good health, peace, well-being, creative energy, and professional success. May the Year of the Red Fire Horse bring stability, new achievements, and confidence in the future.
