As we welcome the Year of the Horse, we are honored to share New Year messages from members of the Presidium of the Belt and Road Journalists Network (BRJN).
These messages, contributed by BRJN Presidium members representing Belarus, Cambodia, Kenya, Mexico, and Poland, reflect a shared hope for stronger dialogue,deeper cooperation, and responsible storytelling in a changing world. They also highlight the importance of solidarity among journalists – protecting rights and professionalism, strengthening mutual understanding, and working together for the public good.
At Home of Journalists, we are grateful for these thoughtful reflections and for the spirit of unity they represent. In the Year of the Horse, may our community continue to move forward with courage, resilience, and purpose, telling meaningful stories, connecting perspectives across borders, and building a stronger future together.

1. New Year message from Andrei Krivosheev

Уважаемые коллеги и союзники!
2025 год стал годом испытания всего мирового журналистского сообщества на верность профессиональным стандартам, журналистской этике, солидарности, умению совершенствоваться и внедрять передовые технологические решения в работу редакций и индивидуальное журналистское творчество.
Целенаправленные убийства наших коллег-журналистов по всему миру за слова правды требуют от нас новых форматов журналистской солидарности. Наш ответ – развитие BRJN и единство в отстаивании прав и интересов членов наших журналистских объединений от Латинской Америки до Юго-Восточной Азии.
Мы увидели громкие примеры фальсификации данных некогда «авторитетными» мировыми СМИ, иллюзию реальности от американских и западно-европейских «мейнстрим» медия, когда речь шла о справедливости, суверенитете, интересах Глобального Большинства, праве на достойное место в будущем миропорядке для наших народов… Всё это буквально вынуждает нас брать на себя ответственность за информационную инициативу и позитивную глобальную медиа повестку, за внедрение Шанхайского духа и принципов Инициативы «Один пояс – один путь» во всех информационных средах. Наш ответ – развитие BRJN.
В 2025-ом мы столкнулись с разнообразными формами цензуры на некогда популярных глобальных цифровых платформах и в социальных сетях. Многие из них стали инструментами манипуляции, разложения традиционных ценностей и культур, пространством розни и насилия над свободой слова. Наш ответ – развитие BRJN и новых платформ социальной коммуникации, не подвластных гегемонии западных «цифровых баронов».
Мы ощутили недобросовестную конкуренцию и попытку вытеснить живого человека из пространства журналистики и медиа коммуникации со стороны западных нейросетевых корпораций. Наш ответ – развитие BRJN, совместное обучение технологиям Искусственного интеллекта, поддержка независимых, добросовестных разработок в этой области, которые предлагают Китай, Россия, Индия и ряд других стран, входящих в орбиту Инициативы «Один пояс – один путь».
Новый 2026-ой год обещает быть сложным и интересным для мировой журналистики. На наших глазах продолжит формироваться новый глобальный миропорядок и расти вес Глобального большинства во всех сферах, от мировой экономики и безопасности до научно-технологического суверенитета и социального развития. Наша первоочередная задача – оставаться журналистами. Честно, оперативно и глубоко передавать суть мировых изменений для нашей аудитории. Включать национальные и общественные интересы в глобальную информационную повестку. Защищать словом и делом справедливость, солидарность, историческую правду, наши традиционные ценности и самобытную культуру наших народов.
Только вместе мы способны отстоять эти ценности и приоритеты для будущих поколений. Вот почему наш ответ на вызовы эпохи – развитие BRJN и нового фундамента мировой журналистской солидарности!
Желаю каждому журналистскому объединению, каждому журналисту и индивидуальному производителю медиа контента творчества, энергии, убеждённости в победе и удачи в Новом 2026 году!

Your dedication to professionalism, truth,and cross-cultural communication has helped bring our peoples closer together.
In the year ahead, may the Network continue to grow in solidarity, integrity,and collaboration. 3. New Year message from Erick Oduor

Happy New Year Team Belt and Road Journalists Network (BRJN). As we usher in 2026, we pray that all our plans for 2026 may come to fruition to promote the good work of International Home of Journalists (IHJ). As a member of Presidium, Kenya Union of Journalists (KUJ) commits to work with all members of this wonderful global network of journalists to protect the rights and privileges of men and women of the media for the greater good of the society. It was an exciting journey to work with BRJN through to 2025 when we converged in Jiangxi Province for an annual event to reflect on our work and share ideas. These aspirations must continue to live on in 2026 as we continue to grow the network to serve the world. Lastly, may the year bring good tidings to all members of BRJN as we plan our objectives of the year to serve the society and make the world a better place to live in. Happy New Year to you all!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Friends!
We are entering the year 2026 – a time that holds special significance for us. Standing at the crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures, we – Poles – look with hope towards the horizon, where the sun rises each day, heralding a new era of cooperation.
Over the past year, the world has proven that our strength lies in unity and perseverance. I wish the entire global community that the “community of shared destiny of humanity” ceases to be just an idea and becomes a tangible reality. May the coming months bring:
peace, which is the foundation of all development.
understanding, which allows us to build bridges instead of walls.
prosperity, which excludes no one, regardless of latitude.
