He Ping, President of the All-China Journalists Association

As we prepare to celebrate the traditional Chinese New Year and the arrival of the Year of the Horse, I would like to extend my festive greetings to our colleagues and friends in the media, both at home and abroad, on behalf of the All-China Journalists Association.

In Chinese culture, the horse is a powerful symbol of progress and vitality. Idioms such as yangbian yuema (galloping forward) and madao chenggong (achieving instant success) embody a spirit of tireless ambition and the courage to forge ahead. The arrival of the Year of the Horse serves as a call for us to meet the future with an enterprising spirit, surmounting every obstacle in our path to create a brighter future.

We are currently witnessing accelerated transformation unseen in a century, with uncertainties and unforeseen factors increasing. Yet, no matter how the international landscape shifts, the pursuit of peace, cooperation, and development remains the common goal of the global community. The rise of the Global South through unity and self-reliance is the defining trend of our era, and the movement toward building a community with a shared future for mankind is an unstoppable tide of history.

As media professionals, we must stand on the right side of history, on the side of fairness and justice, and on the side of human progress. It is our responsibility to amplify the stories of peace, development, and win-win cooperation. Let us allow integrity and clarity to illuminate this turbulent world, bringing comfort to those filled with anxiety and fear amidst conflict and war. We can then inspire the courage and confidence needed to strive for a world of lasting peace, universal security, and common prosperity, a world that is open, inclusive, clean, and beautiful.

I wish you all a joyful Spring Festival and every success in your endeavors!
