What happens when journalists from a land without snow encounter the magical winter of China’s northernmost province, Heilongjiang? They return home with more than just memories — they bring back a song.
This winter, Home of Journalists invited our friends from the Club of Cambodian Journalists (CCJ) to visit Heilongjiang, where the experience sparked creativity. Beyond extensive news reporting, Puy Kea, a member of the Presidium of the Belt and Road Journalists Network and president of the CCJ, together with his colleagues, created a heartfelt song and music video titled Fairy in the Snow. In this creative work, they weave together the landscapes of their homeland with those of Northeast China, creating a vivid cultural dialogue through music.
We are truly delighted to see such meaningful connections take shape. This creative fusion, born from shared experiences, reflects exactly the kind of cross-cultural understanding and exchange that Home of Journalists strives to foster. Listen to the song and enjoy how Northeast China’s winter landscapes blend with the rhythms and imagery of Cambodia.
