China set to host World Conference of Science Journalists in 2029

2025-12-11

China will host the World Conference of Science Journalists (WCSJ) for the first time in 2029 — a decision announced at this year’s WCSJ in Pretoria, South Africa.

Supported by UNESCO and organized by the World Federation of Science Journalists, WCSJ is one of the world’s leading gatherings for science reporters, where professionals explore global trends in science journalism, share influential reporting, and learn from cutting-edge technologies.

As a founding member of the federation, the Chinese Society for Science and Technology Journalism has long contributed to this global exchange. Here at Home of Journalists, we look forward to WCSJ2029 becoming a platform for new storytelling, deeper collaboration, and stronger science communication across borders.
