This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War — a timely moment for us journalists to revisit history and reflect on the value of peace and development.
As part of the “Journey Around China” program, reporters from China and abroad traveled across Hebei, from exploring wartime tunnels in Baoding to tracing the guerrilla legacy in Baiyangdian. Alongside these memories of resilience, they also witnessed today’s Hebei, from cutting-edge AI centers and smart cities in Xiong’an to fast-growing medical hubs and cultural innovation in Langfang, telling a new story of progress.
