The Belt and Road Journalists Forum is the flagship event of the Belt and Road Journalists Network (BRJN). Since its launch in 2017, it has been successfully convened for eight consecutive sessions, bringing together nearly 300 heads of journalists’ organizations and senior media executives from around the world each year. The Forum consistently upholds the Silk Road Spirit, characterized by “peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit”. Through field visits and thematic discussions, it shares compelling stories, valuable professional experience, and the latest forward-looking insights, thereby deepening exchanges and cooperation among journalists’ organizations in countries and regions participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. It enables journalists’ organizations to better fulfill their unique role in promoting people-to-people bonds and strengthening the foundation of public support for the Belt and Road Initiative.
The BRJN is an international platform for exchange and cooperation among journalists’ organizations, jointly initiated by the All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) together with journalists’ organizations from countries and regions participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. The Network serves and connects more than 110 representative journalists’ organizations worldwide, covering a total of 1.67 million media professionals. It is governed by a Presidium composed of six journalists’ organizations, which deliberates and decides on major matters. The Presidium has a rotating chairperson, who is responsible for convening and presiding over Presidium meetings. The daily operations of the Network are handled by its Secretariat, which is headquartered at the ACJA.
