I have visited China twice mainly Beijing. The 2 brief visits have left on me long lasting myriads of impressions, imprints, ideas and feelings. China is an attractive and appealing and a gorgeous place for visitors for many a reason, multiplicity, variety and diversity being at the core of its richness and splendour. China is no doubt a wonder of the contemporary world. Its people are so wonderful and awesome and make us realise why it is called the People’s Republic of China.
China is a big country!
Indeed! With an area of around 1,260 millions square kilometres, China is the geographically the 3rd largest country in the world. It’s land area is 9,6 millions square kilometres accounting for 6.44% of the world land mass. It is 2nd most populous country in the world with more than 1,4 billions of inhabitants, that is almost 18% of the world share. The immensity and vastness of the country is also reflected in the size, dimensions and scope of its massive development, infrastructures, industries, projects, programmes, outreach efforts and in all its endeavours towards political, socioeconomic, cultural and human progress. The people of China have big ideas and are above all bighearted.
China is a great country!
Yes! China is also known for its greatness meaning that things are always done in the country with the notion of excellence and perfection. China always sets examples and defines the pace for others to follow. The people are imbued with the ideals of hard work and dedication. They are tireless, persevering and assiduous which make them capable of realising outstanding, unimaginable and incredible feats. Their inclination to please others and the cultivation of the values of respect, dignity and sharing is also exemplary, meritorious and highly commendable. The Chinese people invariable shows considerate, positive and grateful attitudes. Despite the inherent difficulties, worries, complexities, uncertainties and unpredictability of human life, societal vicissitudes and man-made systems the great people of Great China have great minds and great hearts in our contemporary world and this contributes world happiness!
China is a beautiful country
No doubt! China is a land of beauty, attractions, loveliness. Beautiful sceneries, surroundings, landscapes and views. It’s verily Nature’s gift and boon. Added to this natural majesty are the beautiful artefacts of culture, arts, traditions and customs. And it would seem, the Chinese people have since long developed the instinct not to say genius to create, shape and carve all their inventions, constructions, buildings and structures with a rare and exquisite mastery. Beautiful souls with beautiful minds, beautiful spirit and beautiful hearts.
China is a friendly country
This is quite visible and tangible. China’s and its people’s friendliness and amicability are proverbial. It’s like an innate temperament and mindset. Their open and extrovert approach is can be touching and can even be disarming . Chinese are very welcoming towards visitors and guests, their fondness and sociability are so profound that they would do anything possible to try to assist, support and cooperate with and please them. On the diplomatic front, it is well-known that China nurtures very friendly.
China is a wealthy country
Well, it is a fact that China is an economic superpower with a huge GDP and impressive outputs. But its wealth transcends the industrial, monetary and financial asset, resources and facets. The real opulence of China resides in the sophistication and finesse of its civilization, history, ideology, beliefs, traditions culture. This is real fortune, second to none. There is no one in this world who cannot be awe-struck by such authenticity, lavishness and glory, from music to paintings going through sports, dance, artistry, real feasts for the eyes and ears. This is grandeur of China.
China is a country of generosity and kindness
Indisputable! China epitomizes the essence of generosity and kindness. The government of China provides support in terms of funding of projects and programmes to developing and emerging countries but also in the form of technical assistance, transfer of technology and knowledge and cultural promotion. We may for example refer to the developmental, outreach and other programmes in Africa to support economic restructuring, environmental protection, energy production infrastructural construction industrial growth, educational ventures and also civil societies, non-state actors and non-governmental organisations. In my own country, Mauritius, the Chinese government plays an important role to socioeconomic expansion and this is vividly illustrated in many sectors and areas such as health, civil aviation, roads and bridges, broadcasting, social housing, science and technology and culture.
Beyond G2G, B2B, G2B, collaboration, cooperation and involvement, the Chinese generosity and kindness permeates human relationships as can be witnessed by the way Chinese people interact among themselves and with other nationals. There is always a reason for sweetness, courtesy politeness gentleness, respect, openhandedness and charity.
China is a country of culture, arts, traditions
The world best! This is no exaggeration, China tops the planet when it comes to arts and culture. The civilizational march and historical evolution of the country have left a priceless legacy of superior refinement .. An affluent and lofty heritage of human elegance in multitude forms, styles, modes expressions and representations This primeval millennium inheritance of yore is during various occasions, festivals celebrations, events, shows, displays, exhibitions, performances, demonstrations, parades and so many programmes and activities. Besides, the Chinese museums, galleries, arts and cultural centres in the country and in friendly country amply showcase the panache of the Chinese know how, creativity, skills, talent and virtuosity with the human at the very heart of all conceptions, imaginations and thinking.
China is fast-developing modern country
Wow feeling! The modernization of China is overwhelming and mesmerizing Mechanization, automatization computerization, digitalization, robotization smart new and converging technologies, internet of things, artificial intelligence: China is harnessing the best practices processes, systems and workflows developed and commissioned by its scientists, technologists, programmers, engineers, architects, analysts, mavens, experts in an array of practical disciplines. They are able to blend their multidisciplinary expertise and proficiency into meaningful solutions which makes of China a leader in the field of analysis research and development. China often pioneers the most innovative, efficient and user-friendly products, tools, equipment, machines and services at optimal cost and using inputs and resources judiciously. You name it and here it appears. Chinese modern products have invaded the world primarily because they are affordable and facilitate daily routine as well complex tasks and operations in all walks of life. Another name for China therefore would be modernity!
China is a country of intelligence, innovation and farsightedness
The people of China are not only intelligent and innovative but also farsighted. China has produced many brilliant visionaries of the highest intellect and their vision have hand impactful influence on the world. They can be called brainy futurists of their time because of the novelty of their thoughts and reasoning. Their thinking perspectives have been unequalled. Even today the modern thinkers and scholars of China are pretty much influential. This has a domino and contagion effect on the youths, many of whom, deeply inspired by this intellectual movement, are endowed with new, original and appealing ideas and views for the betterment of the society and world prosperity. Women empowerment has also led to the emergence of female intellectuals with imaginative and inventive minds and they are basically at the service of the mass.
World’s wonder
To conclude, we can convincingly assert that China is a country of abundance, wealth, fortunes, opportunities, vistas, plurality, diversity and unity. A world’s marvel and pride.
China, the Land of discoveries, encounters, values, heartedness, enlightenment and enrichment!
