The Synpics is formed by journalists and professionnal workers of the media of Senegal. Their main object is to defend the moral and material interests of the members.
The Synpics was founded in 1984. It replaces the National association of senegalese journalists (Anjs). This latter took the place of national union of the professionals workers in information and communication (Unpics). Now the Synpics is the largest journalists association in Senegal，which has more than one thousand members.
