Syndicat National des Professionnels de la Presse de Cote d′Ivoire (SYNAPPCI) was founded in August1999. It is the most important national trade union of professionals of the Media of Cote d’Ivoire. It brings together workers from print, radio, television and online media. SYNAPPCI defends the right of media workers and improves their living and working conditions. Through its work, SYNAPPCI has substantially improved the salaries of medias professionals, even though the union recognizes that many challenges remain to be met.
