Ordine Dei Giornalisti was founded in 1963. It is a national journalists’ organization in Italy. Its managing body is the National Committee, made up of 20 members serving a term of three years.

Its main purposes include: reviewing journalists’ professional qualifications, granting or revoking registered qualifications of journalists, formulating election rules of the Association, supervising and examining journalists’ professional ethics, and conducting international exchanges and cooperation with foreign counterparts on research projects and topics of common interest.
